'Jesus Revolution' Brings Over 15.5 Million In Box Office Debut | Big Hit!
Lionsgate made a super theatrical run this week, debuting Jesus Revolution in more than 2,400 theaters, targeting the faith population directly while the public was busy enjoying their antics of the bear on drugs. The film is estimated to have grossed $15.5 million in its three-day domestic opening, including pre-release screenings, coming in third behind Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Cocaine Bear.
That’s a great result, as Jesus Revolution was only expected to gross around $7 million in its opening weekend. To generate buzz, Lionsgate organized church screenings, college screenings, and other initiatives that attracted tens of thousands of people across the country before the film was released operating nationwide.
